BY EXPERTS FOR EXPERTS
Global experts in contraception have developed a series of educational resources designed to support HCPs when counselling women about contraception. A range of slide presentations, educational case studies, videos and checklists are available to help you help women of all ages to choose a method that matches their individual needs and lifestyle.
THE GLOBAL INTRA GROUP
The global INTRA (Intrauterine CoNtraception: Translating Research into Action) group is a panel of independent physicians with an expert interest in intrauterine contraception. Since its formation in 2011, the INTRA group and its ongoing work is supported by Bayer. You may find the INTRA resources useful when introducing IUC as an option, especially in situations where time may be limited. If you already feel that you have the requisite skills, you may want to share the information with colleagues, for example, in a workshop setting.
THE GLOBAL CARE GROUP
The global CARE (Contraception: Awareness, Resources, Education) group is a panel of independent physicians with expert interest in sexual and reproductive health in adolescence. Since its formation in 2014, the CARE group and its ongoing work is supported by Bayer. You may find the CARE resources useful in the communication of information that is timely, accurate and relevant to an adolescent’s needs and expectations of contraception. If you already feel that you have the requisite skills, you may want to share the information with colleagues, for example, in a workshop setting.
THE HELP GROUP
The HELP (Heavy Menstrual Bleeding: Evidence-based Learning for best Practice) group is a panel of independent physicians with expert interest in the area of heavy menstrual bleeding (HMB). Since its formation in 2013, the HELP group and its ongoing work is supported by Bayer. The HELP group have created useful resources for the diagnosis of HMB, especially in situations where barriers may prevent patients from clearly communicating the impact menstruation has on their quality of life. The materials also aim to support treatment decisions and communication with your patients about current treatment options, dispelling myths that may prevent full discussion and ensuring recommendations are relevant to your individual patient’s needs.
